A crash involving a car and a motorcycle left one person dead Thursday morning on South Reed Avenue just north of Annadale in Fresno.
According to California Highway Patrol dispatch logs, the collision was reported at 5:58 a.m. and involved a white 2018 Lexus GS350 and a motorcycle blocking lanes in both directions. Emergency medical services were notified, and the Fresno Sheriff’s Office was contacted for a coroner.
CHP units were assigned at 6:03 a.m. and arrived on scene shortly after. Two tow trucks were requested, including one for evidence towing of the Lexus.
The Fresno Sheriff’s Office requested hard closures of Reed Avenue at Annadale and at Highway 180. Caltrans was notified but advised it would not set up the closure due to distance, and county roads personnel were contacted to handle it.
Media arrived on scene at 6:42 a.m. Units cleared the scene by 8:23 a.m.
Identities of those involved and the cause of the crash were not immediately available.
