One Dead in Redding Area Crash at Clear Creek Road and Dominic’s Way

A crash late Tuesday night at Clear Creek Rd. and Dominic’s Way in the Redding area left one person dead.

According to California Highway Patrol dispatch logs, the incident was reported at 10:53 p.m. as a fatality involving a solo occupant in the vehicle, which was 10 feet off the roadway, possibly on the right shoulder. Authorities notified the coroner, who arrived on scene along with an evidence tow truck. No lanes were blocked.

The reporting party stated a male had been blocking her prior to leaving the area, and she returned to her vehicle with her juveniles. CHP units arrived on scene around 11:02 p.m. and cleared by 11:13 p.m. Several tow requests were made and later canceled, with one evidence tow assigned to California Towing using a flatbed with side puller.

CHP notified Shasta County Fire and the sheriff’s office, and the officer in charge requested cancellation of additional tows.
