A pedestrian was found dead on the roadside of the Figueroa Street onramp to southbound state Route 110 in central Los Angeles Monday evening.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch logs reported the incident at 7:08 p.m. Logs indicated a pedestrian was lying on the roadside on the onramp across from a Home Depot, at the cross streets of Figueroa and Avenue 22. No details on ambulance requests, CPR efforts or coroner notifications were included in the logs.
CHP units were assigned at 7:14 p.m. and 7:25 p.m., with one unit en route at 7:19 p.m. and arriving at the scene at 7:19 p.m. Another unit was en route at 7:25 p.m.
No lane closures or traffic breaks were noted in the logs.
The identity of the pedestrian and the cause of the incident were not immediately available.
