A van hydroplaned into an open field and rolled over Monday afternoon at West Rosamond Boulevard and 170th Street West in Mojave, leaving one person dead.
According to California Highway Patrol dispatch logs, the incident was reported at 2:44 p.m. The logs state the van hydroplaned into an open field and the vehicle rolled.
CHP units were assigned and en route at 2:46 p.m. Units arrived at the scene at 3:07 p.m.
A CHP unit advised another unit of a traffic break southbound at Dawn at 2:56 p.m. The traffic break was released at 2:59 p.m., with traffic then moving.
CHP notified another unit via landline at 3:09 p.m.
Units cleared the scene at 3:10 p.m.
The identities of those involved and the cause of the crash were not immediately available.
