Motorcyclist killed in solo crash into fence in Stockton Area

A motorcyclist died after crashing into a fence on East Main Street at South Oro Avenue in Stockton early Wednesday morning.

According to California Highway Patrol dispatch logs, the solo motorcycle crash was reported at 6:33 a.m. The logs noted a black motorcycle blocking the roadway. Dispatch transferred the call to Stockton Fire at 6:35 a.m. At 6:38 a.m., the San Joaquin Sheriff’s Office reported being on scene and requested an estimated time of arrival from CHP, which advised it was responding from the office.

CHP requested a tow truck for the motorcycle at 6:48 a.m. and notified a towing company at 6:49 a.m.

CHP units were assigned starting at 6:36 a.m., with the first arriving on scene at 6:47 a.m. The last unit cleared the scene at 7:22 a.m.

The identity of the motorcyclist and the cause of the crash were not immediately available.
