A solo vehicle rollover on westbound State Route 152 just west of Dinosaur Point Road left one person dead Monday afternoon.
According to California Highway Patrol dispatch logs, the crash was reported at 4:33 p.m. Callers said the vehicle flipped multiple times and landed on its roof, with the occupant ejected onto the roadway. Bystanders reported a female on the ground in the slow lane and said they were providing CPR. Authorities requested an ambulance, and fire personnel arrived on scene. An air ambulance was also en route. Logs noted a possible fatality, with the coroner notified.
The rollover blocked the No. 2 lane. A fire truck was parked diagonally in the slow lane, creating a traffic hazard. CHP officers initiated a traffic break from Dinosaur Point Road and arrived on scene around 5 p.m. to manage the incident.
Authorities did not immediately release the identity of the deceased or the cause of the crash.
