A crash on northbound State Route 99 at the Mingo Road off-ramp in South Sacramento left one person dead early Monday morning.
According to California Highway Patrol dispatch logs, the incident was reported at 3:59 a.m. as a fatality involving a solo vehicle with major injuries. Authorities requested a tow truck, and fire department personnel responded.
A CHP unit requested a rotation tow from Mach One Towing at 4:01 a.m. Another unit noted the crash appeared to involve major injuries in a solo vehicle. At 4:33 a.m., authorities placed Mach One Towing on an evidence tow.
Units arrived at the scene starting at 3:59 a.m. and cleared by 7:32 a.m. A unit followed the tow truck to Central Valley Tow Yard at 5:30 a.m.
The identities of those involved and the cause of the crash were not immediately available.
