A driver died in an overturned pickup truck on State Route 371 west of Cary Road in the Temecula area early morning.
California Highway Patrol dispatch logs reported the crash at 7:08 a.m. Logs noted an overturned small pickup truck on the shoulder of the roadway with the driver still inside the vehicle. Authorities notified Cal Fire in Riverside. A CHP unit later reported a fatality, requested coroner notification and arranged for one party to be transported to Riverside University Health System via air ambulance.
Units were assigned shortly after 7 a.m. and arrived at the scene around 8 a.m.
Identities and the cause of the crash were not immediately available.
