A vehicle crashed into a yard early morning in the Mount Shasta area, leaving one person dead.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch logs reported the crash at 6:56 a.m. at 831 Mill Road, across from the crane shed. Logs show the vehicle was involved in a traffic collision into a yard, and authorities notified Cal Fire at 6:58 a.m.
CHP units were assigned starting at 6:59 a.m., with the first unit arriving on scene at 7:15 a.m. and another at 7:23 a.m.
The identities of those involved and the cause of the crash were not immediately available.
