A vehicle struck a pedestrian early Monday morning at South Washington Road and Ehrlich Road near Modesto, leaving one person dead.
According to California Highway Patrol dispatch logs, the vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision was reported at 4:33 a.m.
Logs show authorities notified fire officials at 4:34 a.m.
A possible location update was noted at Ehrlich Road at 4:47 a.m.
A CHP unit arrived on scene at 4:53 a.m., with fire personnel also on scene and blocking the area.
Authorities notified a sergeant at 4:55 a.m.
Multiple CHP units were assigned and arrived on scene between 4:34 a.m. and 5:09 a.m., with one unit cleared at 4:43 a.m.
Identities of those involved and the cause of the collision were not immediately available.
