A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle early Saturday morning on Forty Mile Road in the Yuba Sutter area.
According to California Highway Patrol dispatch logs, the incident was reported at 4:24 a.m. in front of the Hard Rock location, described as a vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision.
Logs indicate vehicles stopped in the roadway, creating a traffic hazard, with both lanes obstructed.
A CHP unit arrived on scene at 4:39 a.m. and reported southbound lanes blocked.
Identities of those involved and the cause of the crash were not immediately available.
