Tuesday night, one person was pronounced dead after being struck by vehicles on southbound U.S. 395 just north of Schober Lane near Bishop.
According to California Highway Patrol dispatch logs, the incident was reported at 8:38 p.m. A reporting party advised of a body in the roadway that had possibly been hit multiple times. The logs noted an unknown traffic collision with an unknown vehicle involved in the southbound No. 1 lane. Sierra Life Flight reported the patient as deceased.
CHP units were assigned at 8:42 p.m. and 8:43 p.m., with arrivals at the scene beginning at 8:42 p.m.
Identities and causes were not immediately available.
